Lessons can be arranged through the CMA office, but the teaching agreement is between parent and teacher. This means that CMA members are spared any extra costs associated with having their lessons on site. The teachers manage their own schedules and set their own rates, typically £20-£25 for 30 minutes. Members experiencing financial difficulties should see our bursay policy.

Non-members are welcome to have lessons at CMA if there is capacity. They are charged a small lesson membership fee to cover overheads. The fee is waived if the student becomes a CMA member and joins our weekly activities.

Please note that RGS boys are NOT charged lesson membership if their lesson ends by 4.30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.

If your child is a beginner in year 3-6, a year’s tuition and instrument hire can be included in their membership fee through the Find Your Forte! scheme.
