Parent Partnership

The Parent Partnership: a fabulous community of parents and friends who support your children. The partnership organises the weekly Tuck Shop, refreshments/ front of house for events, car park attendants, fundraising events and much more.  In addition, each CMA ensemble has a Parent Rep. to ensure good communication at all times.

Sophie, Delia and Ruth – the top team!

“Being part of the Parent Partnership is a great way to make friends and give back to our wonderful community. Last year, you helped us to raise over £2500 for CMA.

We rely heavily on volunteers, especially to run our tuck shop facility. Currently, we don’t have the capacity to run a Tuesday tuck shop. If this is something you feel you could help with and lead, please let us know – it would make CMA so much more welcoming for all those Tuesday families.

To join the team, please email parentpartnership@chilternmusicacademy.org – if we all give just a little time, the work can be shared nice and thinly. It also gives you the chance to get to know fellow parents and supporters!”

How can I help?

Regulars: Are you free to man the tuck shop while your child is in sessions? Please volunteer!

Tidiers: If you can’t volunteer, you can still help by clearing up after yourself in the waiting areas. This saves us a lot of time – thank you! 😊

Mentors: Parents/friends who are proficient musicians are encouraged to help weekly with sectionals etc. Please let us know if you are willing to help.

Practical help: If you are able to help set up/break down for rehearsals and concerts, please shout. We also need volunteers to help transport our percussion trailer, and yellow- jacketed traffic controllers for busy events.

Student Volunteers: Volunteering at CMA can help towards the Duke of Edinburgh Awards. 🏅 If your child is interested, please email the Parent Partnership with their availability and what they would like to do.

Donations: Instruments, stands, music and other useful equipment would be gratefully received. If you had been wondering what to do with that old violin, please consider us!
