Springers’ Party

The CMA Springers will be celebrating the coronation of King Charles III with local dignitaries – and with you!

Dress up as a King or a Queen, and come to our Coronation Party from 2-5pm on Saturday 29th April 2023.

  • For children aged 4-8
  • Children should be accompanied- no more than one adult per child please
  • The event will be recorded, so participants will be asked to give media permission
  • Tickets are only £5 but booking is essential – please book early to avoid disappointment

The day starts at the Events Hall, Gateway Building, Bucks New University (please click HERE for a map.) Here, you will enjoy craft activities, explore the music and the instruments you will hear later, and learn a Coronation Song, commissioned specially for this event.

At 3.15pm you will parade in your royal robes down the High Street to All Saints’ Parish Church with Bucks dignitaries including His Majesty’s Lord Leiutenant of Buckinghamshire, the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, the Chairman of Bucks County Council, and the Mayor of High Wycombe. Do invite family and friends to line the street to clap and cheer as we march by!

At the church, you will process regally down the aisle as CMA’s massed choirs and orchestra fill the building with the rousing music ‘Zadok the Priest’ by Handel. At the front of the church, you will join the choirs in singing the Coronation Song accompanied by the orchestra.

After your performance, you will enjoy a drink and a coronation cake before leaving the church to follow the CMA Instrument Trail through Eden Shopping Centre. (The Instrument Trail will be available all week – perhaps you have friends or brothers and sisters who would like to help you?)

Tickets are limited, so don’t delay – book today!
